Spoonful vs Fig vs Aisleful

Spoonful and Fig are the two apps people actually compare when they need a scanner for a restricted diet. They are built around different assumptions, and which one suits you depends on whether your rule is a list or a number.

Where we lose

If your rule is a list — no gelatin, no peanuts, no wheat — Spoonful and Fig both handle it well today and we would not be an upgrade. The gap we are building for is the rule that is a number: a daily net carb limit, a per-meal carbohydrate budget. Those need the answer recalculated against your figure, not looked up against a list.

Common questions

Which is better, Spoonful or Fig?
Spoonful for allergen work and a more generous free tier; Fig for breadth of diet profiles and database size. Neither is wrong.
Do either of them work on the web?
No. Both are app-only, which is the gap this site is testing.
Why would I wait for a third option?
Only if your restriction is a number rather than a list. Otherwise the existing apps are genuinely good and available now.
